GENERAL – How To – Nominate a colleague for a Thanks Very Much Award

Purpose of this SQ How To:  To ensure that all colleagues know how, when and what information is needed to nominate a colleague for a ‘Thanks very much award’

Introduction

SQ Digital wants to recognise colleagues who consistently deliver outstanding results, demonstrate great behaviours, or go above and beyond to deliver a fantastic digital marketing service to our customers.

Whilst line managers and colleagues will discuss and give feedback to one another regularly, its also really nice when other people not only notice but have an opportunity to recognise someone.

That’s why the SQ Digital ‘Thanks very much award’ was introduced.

 

The Nomination Process

  • If you believe a colleague deserves the monthly ‘Thanks very much award’ discuss the nomination with your line manager.
  • If your line manager is in agreement, download the electronic Nomination Form and fill it in using Microsoft Word. Please note you may need to re-enter your Office 365 password. Then email it to your line manager before the Monthly Management Meeting (see the SQ Business Calendar for the meeting dates). Here are few pieces of information which might help you complete the nomination form:
  • The nomination form should contain specific information which clearly demonstrates what the person you are nominating has done
  • Try not to use vague statements such as ‘they are always doing a great job’ in the nomination form as this isn’t enough information
  • The nomination should be made based on activities taken place in the previous month (i.e. if the management meeting is in April, the nomination will be for activities completed in March).
  • Your line manager should take the electronic nomination form to the management meeting.
  • At the management meeting all nominations will be discussed.
  • The decision, as to who will receive the award, will be made by the MD and his direct reports in their weekly management meeting, taking into consideration the details in the nomination form.

 

The Award

During the Monthly Round Up meeting, all the colleagues who were nominated will receive a mention.

The person who was selected for the award will be presented with the ‘Award’.

After the Round Up meeting, the colleague who received the award will be able to go onto PerkBox and get their treat!
